Gene LaRue

Gene recently joined Neighborhood Legislature as the Regional Outreach Director for Region 1. His area of responsibility includes San Diego County, Riverside County and Imperial County. Gene is in charge of community outreach, recruitment and volunteer services. He works directly with Regional Youth Vote Managers on a day to day basis to ensure that operational commitments are carried out. Gene has spent most of his professional career in leadership and character development roles. He attended National University and holds a Masters of Art in Public Administration and Bachelors of Art in Psychology with a Criminal Justice minor.

Sara Nordstrand

Sara is a student at UC Berkeley, currently residing in Orange County. At her last college she held leadership positions and was very active in the community, which ultimately lead to her being distinguished as Woman of the Year. Sara has worked on multiple campaigns in the past and is now very excited to join the team at Neighborhood Legislature. She strongly believes in the genius of the Founding Fathers and could not be more ecstatic to realize their vision in California once again!

Saul Rios

As a Regional Outreach Director, Saul oversees outreach and volunteer recruitment operations in Kern, San Bernardino, and East Los Angeles counties. He is passionate about empowering individuals and promoting policy that increases opportunities for upward mobility. Due to his interest in policy, Saul has been involved with numerous community organizations and political campaigns, at the local, state, and national level. Being fluent in Spanish, he hopes to further involve other demographics in the conversation and further propel the idea of the Neighborhood Legislature. Saul holds a degree in Political Science from Loyola Marymount University and hopes to pursue Law in the future.
